REV2024 Request for Speaking Proposals

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, May 15 at 9:00 am | Questions? Email Kit Price at Kit@revermont.org

REV2024 will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, October 16 & 17, 2024 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Conference Center, Burlington, VT.

We are seeking panel, speaker, and topic proposals for the 2024 REV Conference breakout sessions. You do not need to have a complete panel with confirmed speakers to apply. It is more helpful for us that we receive your idea by the deadline rather than waiting for the application to be “complete.” We also welcome submissions for speakers that include an explanation of what they could speak on and how they could add to a larger breakout session conversation. Breakout sessions are 1 hour long and typically consist of 3-4 speakers and a moderator. The exact format of the session is at the discretion of the speakers and moderator. Submissions that bring first-time REV Conference presenters are encouraged.

REV is committed to supporting a diverse workforce and uplifting diverse voices and perspectives in the industry. As such, all sessions at REV2024 must feature gender and racially diverse voices and no panels will be considered if they do not reach this criteria. We will only reach a sustainable, inclusive 100% renewable energy future by creating space and adding weight to all voices.

All panels must:

  • Feature gender and racially diverse speakers
  • Advance the discussion on how to achieve a 100% renewable energy future in Vermont and/or our region
  • Have speakers representing multiple companies or organizations

Priority Topics for REV2024

Some preference will be given to applications that focus on --

  1. Regulatory, permitting, transmission, and distribution barriers, challenges, and solutions for building renewable energy. This includes case studies from other states
  2. Wholistic solution-based approaches that address/solve problems from multiple perspectives, technologies, scales, or stakeholders.
  3. Renewable energy solutions for low-income communities.
  4. New and cutting-edge ideas or technologies impacting the renewable energy marketplace
