The near-term growth of Vermont’s clean energy sector is dependent on the decisions Vermont legislators and elected officials make. One of the many ways Renewable Energy Vermont is an effective advocate for Vermont’s tradesmen and women is by supporting candidates for public office. We have a responsibility to support policymakers who will follow through on Vermont’s long-term commitments to 90% total renewable energy by 2050, as well as our short-term commitments – 75% renewable electricity by 2032 and 20,000 low-income homes weatherized by 2020.
The Renewable Energy Vermont Political Action Committee (REV PAC) is a tripartisan committee which exists to elect, educate, and build rapport with elected leaders and officials who understand the impact of clean energy trades in Vermont.
The REV PAC gives the tradesmen and women REV represents the opportunity to support state and local candidates who are committed to expanding the use of clean energy in the marketplace and who will promote a legislative and regulatory climate favorable to our sector.
